Windsurfing: Ynyslas estuary Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 20-30knts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 13 Sea Temperature: 16 Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Arrived at Borth at around 11.30am and headed for the Golf Course car
park.
It was a great scene with loads of people out and lots of waves and white
water. It was blowing about 20-25knts.
BEFS and Nick said that they were going to head for the estuary after a
morning in the waves so I thought that I might fair better on flat water so
headed over to take a look.
We had to wait a while for the tide to come in and so began to rig.
I went for a 6.4m but wasn't sure if the 5.3m would be better.
After a few runs hanging on to the 6.4 I decided to change down to the 5.3
after all. By the time I had got back out I was starting to feel over
powered again. But the runs were good, fast and sometimes in control.
I found that there was not quite enough water to get over the middle sand
bank so I couldn't get right over to the far side. I only attempted a few
carves and none were dry. Most of the time I was struggling for control but
it was good. I have to give it a four.
Nick, BEFS, Dave and Sarah, rabbit and many others were out so it was a
good session!
Jules tried to film the action but with the wind/sand it proved just abouit
impossible to hold the camera still! So it was back to spectating from the
safety of the car.
Another good session was had later in the Friendship and Wolves notched
their first ever Premiership win (1-0 v Man City). What a day...
